SERVICE ACADEMY QUALIFYING FACTORS
Members of Congress may nominate applicants who meet basic eligibility requirements established by law.
To be eligible to attend a service academy, applicants must:
1. Be at least 17, but not yet 22 years of age
2. Be a citizen of the United States
3. Be unmarried, and cannot be pregnant or have legal obligation to support a child
4. Meet the physical requirements of the academy
5. Meet the academies academic requirements
6. Outstanding participation and performance in high school extracurricular activities
7. Be a legal resident of Ohio's 12th Congressional district
8. Submit a request to the academy for a catalog and pre-candidate questionnaire
