FEDERAL STIMULUS FUNDS TO BE USED TO TAKE 1200 JOBS OUT OF OHIO
Washington,
Jun 3, 2009 -
U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) today issued the following statement regarding the relocation of NCR to Georgia:
“Yet again the Democrats’ stimulus plan is proving it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. The city of Columbus, Georgia planning to use federal stimulus dollars – taxpayer money – to lure NCR from Ohio is simply outrageous! Federal stimulus money is being used to create winners and losers among workers in different states and that’s just not right; it’s dirty. The hundreds of workers in the Dayton area who will lose their jobs because of this deserve better. They deserve a plan that puts Americans to work not pits folks from the Buckeye state against Georgians!”
